about

"Hericium Dream (Web of Realms)" is the next installment in the ongoing 4 album conceptual saga (inspired by bands such as Obscura and Rivers of Nihil) from Progressive/Technical Death Metal band PROLIFERATION. With each album representing a different climate/theme/world, as represented by the portals, this single bridges the gap musically and thematically between WOODBORN and the 2nd album. The single takes the central character on a journey to a dreamlike, self-described "Web of Realms," not before accessed by humanity. A bizarre yet beautiful bridge
between worlds created by fungus and the fabric of space-time itself. Euphoric, eye-opening, and at times painful is the journey through the web. The next world awaits, as does the continuous path to enlightenment.

lyrics

Music: Iacovella
Lyrics: Iacovella

From forest to opaque, bursts of pigment
Induce recollection and foreshadow
Intertwining nerves in euphoria
Free flowing transition to other planes

Hericium-like dreamscape and a web of realms
Opens behind my eyes yet in front
Interconnecting translucent infinity
Aquatic shimmers beckon

In such vast expanse all fears are taken away
The true journey unfolds in four dimensional view
Assist, protect and uncover the mysteries of worlds
Become a sage of the mind, reach a humble nirvana

(Lead Break - Iacovella)

(Clean Guitar Section - Marcotte)

(Solo - Loisel)

(Solo - Marcotte)

But how can pain enter such a glorious neutral place
A testament to poisonous black vines
That always exist within the soul

(Lead Break II - Iacovella)

The shimmers held true
A transhuman war awaits
Unfold the ocean's unknown
And save the just

(Lead Break III - Iacovella)

(Solo - McSporran)

(Solo - Iacovella)

Neuropathways mimic the form of hericium
A realm metaphorically representing
What could be the actual structure
Of our universe

Oceanic gateway draws near
Beckons with purest mists
Murmurs of the next tale
And centuries of progress strewn across
The euphotic rainbow
